FAQs

  • Acupuncture may be beneficial to help with a range of health conditions.

Often people turn to acupuncture to help them relax or manage chronic health issues. Acupuncture works at the physical body and the subtle body releasing feel good chemicals, reducing pain, increasing blood flow and rebalancing the whole system.

  • After your initial consultation, a treatment plan is discussed with you and the frequency and number of sessions with vary from person to person.

When working with fertility issues, we recommend a minimum of 3 months of regular acupuncture treatments for best results.

Wanda treats the whole person, not just the condition which they have, so each patient’s treatment plan will be different.

Weekly sessions are quite usual to begin with. Long-term health complaints may require more bi-weekly or maybe monthly ongoing sessions. In lifelong conditions, some patients choose to use acupuncture as an ongoing way to help manage their health and wellbeing. Please discuss with Wanda your personal circumstances.

  • Your initial consultation will be for one and half hours, where we discuss your health history, your journey so far and what you’d like from treatment with us.

During your treatment we will feel your pulse and look at your tongue and then you get to have a lovely lie down while we insert the smallest needles. Usually you have about 20 to 25 minutes with the needles in, where you can rest, relax deeply and listen to music if you like.

  • Many health policies now cover acupuncture treatments. Please check with your health insurance directly.
